Who We Are
Byler Holdings is a family business that owns and operates companies in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. We also utilize partnerships with industry leaders in some of our ventures. The company is currently divided into five distinct business units: Materials, Recreation, Entertainment, Management, and Real Estate Development. All of the businesses are currently headquartered in South Central Pennsylvania.
Our Materials Division consists of Boger Concrete, Merrick Sand & Gravel, Byler Trucking Services, and Byler Quarries. We provide ready mixed concrete to central Pennsylvania. Additionally, we provide sand & gravel to the Mid-Atlantic region. Collectively, our Materials Division operates a fleet of 75 trucks.
The Recreation Division operates all year long. We manage five unique golf properties, two full-service restaurants, and banquet facilities. The portfolio has two of the top seven ranked public golf courses in Pennsylvania: the Broad Run Golfer’s Club in West Chester, and Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, which serves as the Byler Holdings corporate headquarters. Additionally, we have two other golf courses, Blue Mountain Golf Course and Lebanon Valley Golf Course, both located in Lebanon County. In 2015 we added outdoor winter recreation to the company with the addition of Iron Valley Tubing, featuring one of the longest and fastest snow tubing hills in Pennsylvania. The newest addition to the golf portfolio is Berkleigh Golf Club which we started managing in 2018.
The Entertainment Division has two separate state-of-the-art, 15 screen movie theaters with digital projection, reclining seats, and IMAX screens. Penn Cinema is located in the heart of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, while Penn Riverfront is located on the riverfront of Wilmington, Delaware. In the Fall of 2018 we opened a third theater in Huntingdon Valley, PA. This 7 screen theater is also equipped with digital projection and reclining seats.
The Management Division handles the corporate operations of each of the companies. In addition, the Management Division is responsible for exploring and evaluating new business opportunities.
Finally, our Real Estate Division is involved in projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, ranging from housing developments and apartment complexes to commercial real estate. Specifically, our North Cornwall Commons community is flourishing with new additions and is becoming the largest mixed-use development in the history of Lebanon County.
